Can my piece be personalized?

Yes, your own personalization can be added to any piece we paint at no extra charge. In some cases, particularly with smaller canvas’s we may only be able to add one character such as an initial. This will be indicated in the details of the individual design.The default color for personalizations are black with white highlights. Other colors are available for an additional color change fee of $5.00. In general, dark colors are preferred to light ones so as to have the name stand out from the canvas backgrounds. In most cases, we prefer to talk to you in person when a specific customization is required and invite you to call us anytime during store hours.

How long will my order take to be completed?

Completion times vary depending on the complexity of the piece and the orders currently in-house. We estimate 8 weeks but most pieces are completed ahead of schedule. Each piece is hand painted to the customers specifications and we take time and care to ensure that each piece is perfect.

What if I need a rush order?

In emergencies, rush orders can be arranged, although we prefer to work within the 6-8 week range. For a fee of 30% of the order's total, we can bring the deadline down to 2-3 weeks.

I love the design, but can the colors be adjusted to fit my existing decor?

Absolutely. Any piece can be tailored to your existing color scheme. A $50 charge for each canvas piece and $10 charge for each hook or door doodle are added in order for our designers to adjust color pallets. The customization process starts with a phone call, as we prefer to talk to you personally about your color specifications. Many times, we will ask you to send us paint or bedding swatches so as to match your color selections more closely.

Can I have a piece custom-designed for me?

Yes! We would be happy to design a piece to fit your needs. Please call our studio at 315-734-9639 to schedule an appointment with our designer so that she may evaluate your needs and give you a cost estimate.

Are the paints you use safe for my child’s room?

Our art pieces utilize only non-toxic, water-soluble acrylic paints manufactured in the US and child-safe furniture designs. Whims-n-Doodles prides itself on choosing the most non-toxic and child-friendly products available. Organic and fair-trade products are at the top of our list for promoting happy, healthy enviroments for children. Do you gift wrap? How much does it cost?

Gift wrap is available for an additional $15.00. The wrap comes in the store colors of teal and lime green. If you would like a personalized card included, simply type the name and message into the 'Notes' section of the check-out form.
